Ramifications of Bankruptcy

Hi,

Although my question deals with what happens after bankruptcy, I thought it was important to ask it in this forurm for those of us who have or are going to file bankruptcy.

I was wondering what are some of the unforseen ramifications of bankruptcy. I read in another thread that someone's homeowner's insurance went up 67%!!!! That was something I didn't realize. Does anyone have anything else they could share as far as what the negatives might be beyond the typical ones, i.e., bad credit score for a while, etc.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!

I filed in 05 and, my auto premiums remained unchanged. My homeowners went up but, it was due to my carrier taking large losses in the Gulf Coast hurricanes. People I know with good credit had the same insurance company and got the same increae.
Some will raise your preiums due to credit issues and some won't. You can always shop around.
