Finally filed today

The Courthouse in my area is brand new, so new that they are still doing 341 meetings in the old building. I went in at 4:00, everyone was sitting around waiting for the weekend to start. Took me all of 15 minutes, and that was because I had to go next door to the bank to get change to pay my first installment. I left my cellphone at the security desk, and they called me at home and then WAITED until I drove back to get it. (Only four miles but still a nice thing to do) It actually would have been a nice experience if I wasn't filing for bankruptcy.

Now for all the phone calls to stop, my checking account to be released, and the garnishment to stop. I guess I should feel relieved but I still feel like a loser.

We filed yesterday. It's a great feeling. Had a couple of calls last night, a few this morning. Told them I filed and gave them the case number and attorney name and it has been quiet all day. Feels good.

Don't feel like a loser. I know I did for the last couple of months. BK means a second chance, and we all deserve that. You are not alone. Things will only get better.

Filing BK does not make you a failure. It's a business decision. Pure and simple. Just like the CC companies with the Universal Default clauses that allows them to jack your interest rates just because they feel you have too much charged out on your cards.

well I am new to this forum, came across after filing my chapter 7 with my lawyer on Friday.
Bit relieve but still nervous.
i own business, which the trustees will take over. now i have wait month for my 341 meeting.

there are some good advice here.
