Got a letter .. What does it mean?

Notice of appointment of Trustee and Approval of Bond

You are herby notified that:

The aboved named debtor having filed a petition for relief under chapter 7 of title 11 U.S.C. 521 or an order for relief having been entered on the date set forth following hte name of each debtor listed above; and

John ****** has been appointed trustee of the estate and said debtor(S) by the acting United States Trustee Sara *****

Debtors pursuant to 11 U.S.C. 521 shall provide the trustee herein with bank statements, cancelled checks, tax returns or other documents relating ot the property of the estate upon request of the trustee within (5) days of any request.

John **** and the bonding company shall be held and bound by the bond filed with teh office of the United States Trustee and the Court

What does this mean??
Are they going to monitor how much money is in my checking account after my 341 meeting?? How much can I have in my account?? I was planning on trying to save up some after my 341 for christmas. I'm so confused.

Just means a truxtee has been appounted and he has met the bonding requirements.
When is your 341 scheduled?
Nobody will monitor day to day balnces in a bank account.

They will not monitor your account after the 341 in most circumstances. You got a standard letter informing you of who your Trustee is. This is nothing to worry about and is routine.

In fact many don't even look at your finances after you filed. So try not to worry.

My 341 meeting is scheduled for Oct 23.. We move out of state on Oct 26th

How firm is your move date? I mean there is the slight possibility that your 341 could be continued and you might have to appear again.

Mine wasn't but I did see others on the day I was there that did have their's continued generally due to errors in their paperwork.

We're military.. We have to move on that day. I have spoken to the trustee about my situation and he is confident in the 23rd 341.. I guess I'll have to just keep my fingers and toes crossed.
