    341 Meeting...Questions?

My 341 meeting is a week from today and like a couple other posts I've read this morning, I'm getting a bit nervous.

If a thread with a list of questions the Trustee may ask exists, could someone point me to it? I'd like to prepare myself as much as possible so as not to end up with a "deer in headlights" look on my face. Sometimes I don't perform my best under pressure.

    Thanks, everyone.

Here's a link that tells you what the 341 is and what to expect:

    http://www.usdoj.gov/ust/eo/ust_org/...3/vol3ch05.htm

    Generally speaking,.........

The Trustee will introduce him/her self. Say this is the Meeting of the Creditors. Debts will be Discharged on such and so date. You will be testifying under Oath. That the Trustee is there to act on behalf of the benefit of your Creditors. Blah, Blah, Blah. About a 2-3 minute schpeel.

You'll need your driver's license or other official photo ID and your SSN card.

If you're not the first case,............ Listen to the questions the Trustee asks other people. The first 10 or so questions will be the same for every one.

One thing that will be asked is, "Did you read the Trustee's or BK Information Sheet?" That's the sheet all attny's offices gave out describing the different types of BK.

Our Trustee had a blank sheet of paper on top of every file for every debtor at our 341. He'd gone thru the files and jotted notes on that top sheet specific to each case. Things he wanted us to answer about live and in person.

Keep your answers short, sweet, and to the point. Don't ramble off on how or why. Just answer honestly and briefly. Yes and No if you can. If you run on in an answer, you open yourself up to deeper probing on that area by the Trustee.
