help! about my credit report.

I have my first meeting with my Lawyer next Tuesday. He wants my paystubs and all the accounts we owe on. The problem is some of the ones that have gone too collections have not conntacted me in a while or i have lost some of their addresses.

Should i just get my credit report and show that to the Lawyer? I don't want to leave out any Debts that are in collections, but they might be hard to track down because im assuming some have been sold to other collection companies.

Also what's the fastest way to get our credit report? Is there a reliable website where i can pay and download it?

You can get your report for free at annualcreditreport.com but only once per year. I went there for my report and my husbands.

Did you try to get it from all 3 credit bureau's? You should have a place to check one or all 3 of them, so if one doesn't work, go to the next one. Try that and let us know

I'm still talking about the same website... annualcreditreport.com (you may have to go through filling out all the info again but check all 3 when it asks which ones you want to check) at least until you get one out of the 3. After you get one, save the other 2 to check later if you need to.

This happened to me. I was able to get all 3 of mine from all CB's from there and get them printed out. When it came time to get my husbands I was only able to get one and right when I hit the print screen button my browser glitched and closed. Guess what happened? I went back and it said I had already seen the report for the one year and couldn't view it again. I was furious! The problem with the others was due to their lovely idea of not updating addresses and such so each time I was putting in my husbands information it wouldn't verify it because they still have his last known address as something from 15 yrs ago. Which is highly wrong. Anyway, if the information you input doesn't match what they have, even if what they have is wrong, they won't let you have access to it. Needless to say we had to call and get his report, luckily we had time to do that. Hopefully you will be able to obtain yours a little easier.

As far as needing them with your first meeting with your lawyer you probably won't. So you have some time to get it mailed to you, it takes about 10 business days. Just list the original creditors for the time being and explain to your lawyer that you are waiting on your credit report to verify who the account is currently with and what amount it is.

try going to www.mycreditkeeper.com. You have access to all 3 at all times...this will also help you after you file....so you can keep a watch out for it....free for the 1st 30 days.....my lawyer requested my credit report

Also, is it a must to have your tax returns at the first meeting? I'm getting my mailed to me and it will take two weeks as of yesterday.

Your lawyer would probably like them at the first meeting, but they are not NEEDED until filing... from my experience
