Sorry I missed the thread below answering my question.


Once you've completed your 341 meeting how long is it before you'll know if the US trustee will get involved ? Our 341 meeting was on 10-11 and as far as we know everything went well. We answed the questions , overall we were infront of him for maybe 3-4 minutes, at which time he said okay you're done and we got up and left. Overall it was painless but know my only question is the UST and I'm unsure what his role is, or should we have heard by know if there as a problem.

If the UST objects, it will be in the 60 day period after your 341 meeting. I originally filed a Chapter 7; then had to convert to a Chapter 13. The UST attended my 341 meeting and handed my attorney a list of documentation that he wanted. Then he advised my attorney on the 52nd day that we had to convert to a Chapter 13 or to be dismissed.
