I am preparing for chapter 7 and just got my credit reports from all three credit agencies. This is the first time I checked my credit report in the last 5 years. I was completely surprized to find that none of the three credit agencies have absolutely no record of two of the cards I have had for more than four years. One was Advanta business platinum and the other Bank of America Business Platinum. OK, the Bank of America is a debit card because the money comes from my BOA Business Checking Account but Advanta is basically a credit card issued under my business name and my name. Now I used my Social Security Number to open both these accounts with my name "doing business as" 'my firm name". Then how come there is absolutely no record of these two cards/accounts on my credit reports? can I still get rid off my debt on Advanta even though it is not showing up on my credit report? Any feedback in this regard is appreciated. Thanks

There is no requirement for CC companies to report to the CRAs. Most do, but in your case BOA is not. It could be the type of care. Debit cards are not credit cards so there is nothing to report. Others only report every two or three months and then only to one or two CRAs.
I hope this helps.
