Hi.

I have no money and no job. I would like to know what steps to take to file for chapter 7. I have no assets, just a bunch of debts...and a car loan...even though it was repoed. Please let me know how or what to file...any links or books I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Nolo.com offers a book "How to File for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy"

It costs about $19. I filed without an attorney on October 3rd and used this book religiously.

Also a good idea to get a free copy of your credit reports right before you file. And to start to list all of your accounts with all of their info on a "creditors matrix." Just collect your bills and list the info.
