O.K Filing today fed up

It seems as if everyday that go by things get worst...

1. I am 6 months pregnant ,married, with twin girls
2. I live in VA
3. I am in debt 100,000
4. I am filing Pro se Today!!
5. Poor about 40,000 under state median for a family my size and when next baby is born i will be even more under
6. On admin leave (not by choice I was force) from my job due to pregnancy issues.
7. holding on by a thread
8. 4 Lawsuit all default judgements
9. credit card and secured accounts and car loans and loans
and dont know how I am handling this... Creditors are selling accounts.. and sending threats by mail..1 Car is past due 4-5 months-other is repo I am sure repo guys is searching for other one .its just crazy... It like I am tired of being broken.. I kept it together for many year never been late on bills and then The military PCS us to VA from TX we paid over 5000.00 for the move and was suppose to be reimbursed my the military well they have lossed paper work, sent the check to address with no zip code.. oh a bunch of bs.. (since June) we now live day to day use to be check by check but now its like we dont even have food or Gas having to beg family members for 20.00 or so.. its crazy.. you would think we are on drugs how broken we are..

I was so dumb to buy the car 480 a month thats alot and I already had one for 350.00 a month.. Furniture and all this crap that not worth my sanity...It like I had got these good credit scores and the creditor just appeared its all my fault though, I went credit crazy taking every offer... Putting my family in Debt.

Where am I on being finished with my paperwork?.. Well I am 100% done everything printed out and signed only have to print out creditor matrix and get holes punched ... Hoping this court doesnt require 3 copies and original like its says on the website...

Sorry dont mean to complain just need to vent.. and let off some steam .. and continue on because I have to be strong for the kids and unborn baby.. Thnx for listening

Hey there, you've sure got a lot on your plate at the moment. Sounds like you're on track with your BK, though.

If you haven't yet, and can do it - it would be a good idea to call the court clerk and together go over the list of paperwork that you are going to file - just to be sure you have all the right stuff before you file your petition. That way you won't have any surprises later - you've already got enough surprises! ;^)

Hang in there - you've got lots of company here, so don't beat yourself up over things.

Like you said - save some smiles for your twins and the new baby. Life WILL get better, and you will come out of this bad patch. Meanwhile, hold on tight.

Yep - stop letting them harrass you. And stop beating yourself up about it. It takes guts to file Pro se. It also takes dedication.

Make sure you change your lifestyle to where you can build up an emergency fund. Keep things simple and you'll be able to enjoy life with those 2 beautiful girls of yours. And the one on the way.

Good luck and keep your head up. BK isn't the end of life - it's just the end of debt!

I felt exactly the same way you did. My husband and I both had credit scores in the low 800s - never paid a late payment on anything in 12 years and our financial situation changed suddenly and everything went down hill from there. It was so hard for us to make the decision to file bankruptcy. We waited for almost a year to file while the phone rang off the hook from creditor calls and the mailbox overflowed with threatening letters. We kept hoping something would change and we could pull out of it but the longer we waited the worse it got.

I filed pro se on October 3rd and although this is also a little stressful because we've never done this and don't know what to expect - I can tell you that I don't feel guilty about filing anymore and it is way more peaceful around here without the phone calls and letters. The more steps we get through on the bankruptcy the better I feel.

Hang in there it will get better. Don't beat yourself up - we all make mistakes. Learn from them and move on.

Hang in there. We were in that boat a year ago. We had 2 weeks notice for a move from Hawaii back to the mainland, which meant I lost a good job, plus tons of moving expenses, including a non-reimbursable rental car since our car took almost 2 months to get here. At that point, we were already in a 13 we couldn't afford...search some of my old posts...this is my clumsy way to let you know that you are not alone, and it is ok to come here and vent. You have to take care of yourself and your family. I don't know what branch you all are, but the Army has AER and I know other branches have relief societies. Can your husband apply for a small grant in light of the movinh expenses issues?

Well I got good news today this morning my job emailed me and said I could come back to work whenever I wanted .. and I said NOW! NOW PLEASE!! lol So I will be back at work ,a little less stress on hubby. Thnx again guys

Good for you! Make sure you make too much money before the 341 though. They will ask if your income has changed. I'm not sure what your schedules look like, so you may be fine.

At least now, you can answer the phone proudly and tell those @$@$#@ not to bother you anymore. Give them your case # and they'll be nice. And if they aren't, tell them it's against the law to contact you and you will report them if you ever hear from them again... that will make you feel better! It made me feel better.

Thnx, you are on my messenger.. its just so stressful. You know you want to raise you kids with eveything the want and need but it hard with all this debt. Its just soo much diffirent when kids are in it..
