What is better/easier for a lawyer to use...state or federal exemptions? Our state exemptions are a lot higher than federal. Is there really any real difference in the amount of work the lawyer has to do?

I don't know for sure but I don't think it should make any difference in attorney fees. Your attorney should automatically use whichever exemptions work best for your case. I'm in Michigan and my attorney is using Federal exemptions but I didn't ask him to he just automatically did that.Kari
