    holy crap help!!

O.k I have to amend something not sure what. I totally forgot but heres the story hubby is Military and we moved here from down south like Jun, When we moved we paid for the move with intentions of military to pay us back .. well they havent until today. look in banking account and bomb hit me like a brick.... We filed 11/13/07 havent had 341 meeting soo scared whats the chances of trustee asking for our banking statements? If I want to be honest and amend this and put it in there I have room on exemption. I have no idea were to even put (a job move that we paid for with intends of the military paying us back)

    please help

I just had my 341 meeting today and the trustee didn't ask anyone for their bank statements. I brought copies of the last 3 months of mine just in case. I have heard that in some districts they will ask.

I am not sure what or how you would list the move but if you figure it out or someone has an answer - I would take the time to file the ammendment. I had to file an ammendment and it was very easy to do. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Do you have a wildcard exemption? If you do, just send an amended schedule of your personal property and your exemptions. It's free. It is just money in the bank account, and you should exempt it- especially since there is a good chance they won't want to see your bank statements, but they will probably ask if anyone owes you money, and if you hadn't gotten it yet, you should honestly answer yes. But since you now have it just amend your schedules.

Also, isn't bk just a snapshot of the day you file? We talked to a lawyer before we filed and told him that we were moving and would be staying in a hotel paid for by my husband's new employer. We said we wanted to save some money so we would have a security deposit for our next home and he said no problem- what matters is what our account is on the day we file.

I asked my attorney a banking question today. And he very patiently (yes, I'm a PITA), explained that I can win the lottery right now and they can't have any of it.

I also opened new checking and savings account today, and as soon as my insurance payment clears the Chase account, I'm closing it.
