Repo?

Question about repos..

I filed about a week ago. I saw two guys checking out my my car, looked like they were writing down the VIN..I'm going to surrender it in the bk, but, with the automatic stay, if they come knocking on my door, should I inform them of the bk and stop them? Not that I really care, I just don't want to mess anything up..

Make sure that your finance company has received notice of the bankruptcy. They cannot repo the car without filing and getting granted a motion to lift the stay.

Sure enough...came ringin' the doorbell. They are always so friendly around here....
