    Order To Show Cause

Wow, I just filed last Thursday, and already today (Tuesday) I see on PACER that there is an Order to Appear and Show Cause for Improper Apparent Joinder of Debtors. Ugh. From my reading of the motion, I'm assuming it's somewhat minor. It looks like our attorney should not have included my wife's home business as a party to the bankruptcy. It's a limited liability corporation. Actually, I'm wondering why he did do that anyway. There are no debts in the business's name at all. I hope this doesn't complicate matters. We have 10 days to amend, or we're ordered to appear at the show cause hearing where our case could be dismissed. I'll be calling the attorney's office tomorrow!

It's for that reason that PACER scares me.

I would see something like that and it would ruin my year.

Hence why I'm not using it.

At least your district processes stuff fairly quick .

Yeah, that is a bonehead move. A legal business entity cannot be a joint debtor with an individual.

This should be nothing but a simply amendment.
