You have to get all your paperwork ready. So it might take you a few days to get it all together depending on how organized you are. In a lot of places they can file online now so it could be filed the same day you turn in your paperwork.
What counts is not how long after you see your attorney but how long after you've used your credit cards, especially if you've taken any balance transfers or made any big ticket item purchases. You want to wait at LEAST 70 days after any big purchases or withdrawals, possibly more before filing.
