Question re Initial Report of Trustee; and one re Objections

HHM wrote the following re using Pacer and the schedule that occurs:

    "1. BK Case is Filed
    2. Initial report of trustee (within 10 days of 341 meeting
    3. Final report of Trustee (prior to discharge)
    4. Discharge.
The time from step 1 to step 4 is three to four months."
    *********************************************

I am wondering, since at my 341 I was told that I had to file an amended petition re my former business, how does that affect the above time line? Will the "within 10 days" then become "within 10 days of the amendment"?

And will the discharge still be 60 days from the 341?

    Also, while I'm at it:
Does a creditor who wants to file an objection have to get approval from the trustee or show CAUSE before he can file an objection, or can they just do it because they deem it valid?

And is there any notification on Pacer that they plan to object, or do they usually call your attorney first and he would let you know before it got to Pacer anyway?

Thanks for your help, as usual!

(Trying to be calm about being in the 60 day club!)

It doesn't effect the "important steps" of the time line, i.e. discharge, etc. (assuming you comply with amending the petition. But the Trustee may delay his initial report until he sees the amendment.

As for objections, the trustee is absolutely NOT involved in creditor objections. So, no, the creditors do not need to show cause to the trustee before they can file an objection.

Most creditor attorney's will contact a debtor's lawyer before an objection is filed to see if a reaffirmation can be worked-out. (they don't have to do that, they can just file an objection, and that sometimes happens, especially if the account is late going from the creditor to the attorney).

Thanks, HHM. That helps me to know where I'm at in this thing. (ie. no way of really knowing!)
