    Trustee vs. US. trustee

What is it that trustee can't do and US trustee can do(or will do), if the debt is higher than a certain amount? Is that the only time they get involed? How do I know where my areas UST located?
I am NOT an attorney, anything I say here is not a legal advice.

BK Trustee: This is the person you deal with directly, the person you meet with at your 341 meeting. This person is assigned to manage your BK estate. For all-intents-and-purposes, their sole purpose is to identify, seize, and liquidate non-exempt assets in order to pay your creditors.

US Trustee: This person is responsible for enforcing the BK Code. They are the ones that determine whether you should be in a 7 or 13, or have otherwise violated any of the abuse provisions of the BK Code. They also prosecute the few criminal violations of the BK code...and supervise the BK Trustees. The US trustee is an arm of the US Department of Justice. US trustees are their to keep the system honest (for debtors and the BK trustees).
