checking account ? and info for 341

I did my BK through a service and am going pro se to my 341. Like a FOOL, I now realize, I listed a balance of 2000K on my checking account when I filed as that was actually what I had in there right after being paid. Of course it quickly went down to negative several hundred dollars but that doesn't show on my BK filing.

Have I painted a big bull's-eye on my forehead in doing this? Is my trustee gonna annihilate me or can I plead innocent/ingnorant (actually I won't have to act that part ha).

Any advice on how I can best cover my keister with this? Could I bring a current balance statement to my 341? Argh.

I would think you could ammend but let's hear what the experts say.

Take a bank statement with you to the 341 meeting that covers the date you FILED BK. Its the balance as of the date you filed that is of concern to the trustee, and they will consider already written checks or obligations.

It went well but I WISH I had known about this site beforehand. I would have known not to list my payday checking acct. balance, etc. I paid 185$ but have seen sites that do it for it 120$ (found them afterwards of course). You just punch in the info and they add it up and fill out the appropriate forms for you. They were very helpful.

This forum has been a huge help with practical advice and with my tenuous grasp on my sanity at this point!!!

When we filed we had 1200 in our account (before bills of course) and we didn't have any problems with the trustee....it didn't seem to be a problem the trustee didn't even ask for our bank statements. and I had 5 months worth.
