    complication you think?

I broke my leg on Thursday and I will have surgery on Saturday. It happened on company property, but not while I was working, so workers comp doesn't cover it, but the general liability ins will cover it, so we won't have any out of pocket expense. I will be able to collect Short term disability for the time being, and I think the insurance will give me a lump sum to cover the difference between short term disability and my normal wages (though I'm not positive of this). I'm in the middle of a 7. Our 341 is Feb 25th. The trustee can't take the Ins payout, right? It's not a settlement or anything, it would simply be the 40% of my wages that Short term disability doesn't cover.

Because, you know, I don't have enough to worry about.

Also, we are surrendering the house and are still here. We intended to leave at the end of march, but there's no way I can help pack and move until I am allowed to bear weight on my leg again (which won't be for 6-8 weeks), moving is going to be a nightmare. Is this a legitimate argument for the attorney to prevent the lift of stay?

    wish me luck tomorrow.

wow. I hope your surgery goes well or went well. And I hope you are able to get it all corrected. I think you should be able to keep that money as it is only replacing your current income, so it isn't an increase or a lottery windfall etc.

Wow, when it rains it pours. I'm so sorry to hear that you broke your leg. I hope the doctor has you on some good painkillers and you feel better soon. I think its definitely a legitimate reason to get a stay. Have they already filed a motion to lift the stay?
