o.k. paperwork is 99% fininshed-pro se. what do i do now? obviously i'll finish it. then, do i just drop it off at the courthouse, do i need an appointment, is there anything i should know that maybe you didn't, am i making a big deal of nothing????

ahhh.. the actual filing is the easy part. Find out what room in the courthouse the clerk is in, take all the required copies and the money to her- she'll conform a copy for you, give you a receipt and you're done. That's it. -
thanks. i don't know why i'm so nervous. i've handwritten the forms, the clerk did say that was ok, but i'm afraid it's going to be thrown out for not crossing a t or dotting an i. i really think that their final analysis is going to be that i made my bed, so i should sleep in it. i just want to clean up my credit and i see this as the only way. i have about 12,ooo in credit card and utility debt that dates back to '97. i'm 29, barely survive, and can get nothing on my own where credit is concerned. i lack 24 credit hours from having a bachelors degree from one of the top universities in the country (i quit school 5 years ago). somebody, please tell me there's hope for me yet.Comment

i have a question along this line... hubby and i are filing together, do we have to go to the courthouse together? The place where we would have to file is about an hour away, near where he works and it would be much easier for him to take it on his lunch breakComment

Both of you do not have to be there for filing the paperwork, as long as everything is signed.
You both DO have to appear at the 341 meeting, tho.Comment
