Just Filed! What's Next?

Lawyer just filed our CH7! What's Next?

Just keep on living as normal? Should I give creditors my case #?

I do feel somewhat relieved but I don't know why?


Any specific things I need to do? (experts please chime in)

Your attny should be sending creditors your motion of filing. Just begin gathering stuff like bank stmts, w2, all secured, unsecured debt stmts, taxes (I needed 2yrs), 401k or pension, stock awards, etc. More then likely you had all this when filing but now is the time to keep it organized and ready for the 341.

Also cant hurt to begin looking into a PACER acct.
Oh yea, relax - you still have roughly 90 days to go.

Absolutely, in a nutshell it is a portal that holds all cases be it the Supreme Court, US District Court to Bankruptcy Court. Once your petition is filed, you can view the case number on PACER and watch the "bankruptcy life-cycle" as it goes from filing-to-341-to-discharge.
