    my 341 meeting

I was getting nervous, cos my trustee was giving a lot of people before me the third degree. he also made it clear that he was there to get as much money from us as possible. lucky for me, the people in front of me, their problems were a big tangled mess and he spent a half hour on them. he asked everyone to fax him a copy of their tax return for 2007.
I had noticed my lawyer tweaked my expenses a bit and I ended up with only three dollars disposable income! funny though, he has also mentioned I was to get approximately 1400 dollars back from the irs,(on the petition) but I only got 90.00.
by the time he got to me, he was in a hurry. he asked if I had a personal injury claim out, did anyone owe me money, was everything on the petition true. he only asked me a few questions and that was it. he never asked me about any of the expenses in the petition, even though my food cost was very high for a single person. he didnt even want to see my tax return.
reading all the posts here has helped so much, I would have been scared to death before my court meeting if not for this place.

I don't understand why trustees in some districts have to be so rude.

I was lucky and had a great trustee. My attorney actually knows him and told me it would be a piece of cake (which it was). He also told me that some trustee's ask for tax returns, a year's worth of bank statements, etc. I didn't have to bring anything and he never even asked about the taxes. I feel bad for people who get a-hole trustees. I lucked out and thank God every day that I did!
