New here with questions hearing tomorrow help!

First of all I can't say how much better I feel that I'm not really the "only" one in the world thats ever had to file. I have searched and seached this forum and can't find where anyone has ever had anything actually taken from them by a creditor?

This whole process has been a nightmare and when it's over I want it over! No more calls, letters, nothing! So if we decide to surrender rather than reaffirm for BBuy and Dell (nothing bought there in the past year). Are they even going to want it, and if they do, is it possible to make them take it now rather than later? This stuff is just stuff, it doesn't really matter. I'd like to keep it but I want to be able to answer my phone and check my mail without an anxiety attack!
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Creditors are not likely to take anything from you unless it's a very expensive item and brand spanking new. Otherwise it's not worth their time.

Sometimes they will act as if they are going to but then they don't. If you get any such letters or calls, tell them "fine, come and get it" and chances are they won't. Better yet, just don't answer the phone.

If nothing was bought in the past year there is almost no chance of them coming to get anything.

The scenario in which a creditor MIGHT come to get something is like if it was a small "mom and pop" local shop and you just recently bought $2000 worth of furniture, or tv's or somethng like that. But the big companies know that recovering used stuff is not really worth it to them.

    Good luck and don't worry.
