There were so many people filing that all of the seats were taken when we got there. Our attorney was excellent. She stayed in constant contact with us while we waited to be called up. I fumbled alittle bit when asked about the value of our house and the trustee asked how long we have been married, and I choked (lol). I am a little worried that the trustee may order an appraisal of our home. But we were able to keep our tax return (amendment)as we were well within our exemptions (yes!). As long as we either do not have an appraisal, or if we get a fair appraisal, we should be good to go. One thing though, we have not received anything about reaffirming our home or car. Should we be doing something to get this ball rolling? This forum is and has been a Godsend!

I only received a reaffirmation on one of my vehicles, but I am still paying on both. This may be a mistake, but I'm assuming that as long as I keep paying it doesn't matter. I brought this up to my attorney who didn't seem too concerned. Topic didn't even come up in 341, but I'm not sure it would anyway?Filed Ch 7 - January 29th, 2008

I am sure and I doubt the trustee will order an appraisal. My trustee asked how much my house is worth and how did I come to that value. I basically said because of a 2005 appraisal and area comps. Then the trustee asked if I sold it today, would I get what I owe. I almost fell off my chair.
Anyway - welcome to the 60 day club!Filed: 01/23/08
