    Paystub/Employment verification

I was told that I need to bring copies of my paystubs for last 6 months to the lawyer. I have no problem with this. Question is if they don't contact your employer, how are they verifying your paystubs are accurate? I want to make sure my employer is not contacted to verify my paystubs, as I don't want my employer knowing about the BK.

    Thanks

They want your pay stub to verify the stability of your income for the last 6 months and to make sure of the numbers on the means test. Also, if your lawyer sees something like stock options, etc, you guys can talk about in case the trustee has any questions.

Thanks, one more question. I only have copies of my paystubs printed from online, is that acceptable? Or are they looking for a real stub? We don't receive anything like this. Will that be questionable?

This is exactly what I submitted to my attorney with no issues. I prefer electronic records anyway as paper items tend to find their way to the round filing cabinet very quickly in my house.
