Once I file for chapter 7 do I need to keep up my minimum payments for my credit cards and what if I can't . I am currently having a hard time doing that.
I live in California.
Once you file, (and assuming you listed all your creditors), NO, you don't have to pay your credit cards (note, if you have a car loan, mortgage, or other type of secured debt, you do need to keep making those payments if you want to keep the asset).
