We are in Ch 13 right now, however with my husband's career based on economy, I am trying to look at the what if's down the road if he loses his job.
We both have lived in GA since 2003.
In Aug, 2007 he started working in Virginia and will be filing taxes there. He comes home every month for a week.
I am moving to AR April 2008.
If he loses his job, from what I understand because of his income level we couldn't convert to Ch7...he would move to AR, we would work making under the median...and then refile a Ch7.
If this is correct, what state exemptions would we use. Neither one of us would've been in Arkansas for 2 years. He spent majority of time in Virginia and me in Georgia. Arkansas allows federal exemptions, but Virginia does not.
So how would that work?
this post may should've been put under the Exemptions area, but can't figure out how to move it.
