    Quick question on 341 meeting

    Hello,

My attorney filed my Ch. 7 about 2.5 weeks ago (I'm not sure of the exact date because they were having problems with their online filing system).

I haven't received anything in the mail yet from the government/court regarding the bankruptcy or the 341 meeting.

Should I be concerned? Should I call the clerk to see if it has been scheduled?

Many of the signatures that posters have on this site indicate that their meeting was usually about 5 weeks after their filing.

    Thank you!

IMO you should have received something by now. I received my BK notice within 5 days of it being filed. You might want to look into getting PACER account... that way you can follow along.

Yep, time to verify. I got an electronic notice from my bk court a few hours after my lawyer filed {electronically}.

Thanks for the advice. I signed up with PACER today and will hopefully receive the registration packet this week.

I have a feeling my notice was lost in the mail or misdelivered. The Supreme Court has ruled in the past that "lost in the mail" is not a legitimate excuse because of the general reliability of the US Postal Service. However, anyone who's dealt with the USPS on a regular basis knows this is BS.

You should have received a log in and password as soon as you registered with PACER. Do a search by your SSN and see what comes up!

You have to give a credit/debit card to get your login and password immediately - Otherwise they mail it to you. I didn't want to give my debit card # and I don't have a credit card. I got the info I needed to login within 5 days and I'll be billed for usage.

I'd call your attorney immediately. Sometimes the 341 is only 3-4 weeks after filing, so you don't want to miss it! Check pacer too.

FINALLY DISCHARGED 92 DAYS AFTER THE 341! A NEW START!!!
