My case was filed on april 21, 2005 when will i get my discharge papers im ready to start rebuilding my credit now my lawyer says it takes 90 days but on here i read that it takes 60 days in confused can someone please help me!

You didn't say whether you have had your 341 meeting or not.
If not, it is usually 60-90 days after the 341 meeting.
Sometimes it takes 60-90 depending on your Trustee. Right now they are so far behind on their paperwork because of all the last minute people filing before the new laws take effect.
If everything went okay, no problems, you should be seeing that discharge anytime. Your lawyer and the court will send you a notice in the mail.
Just hang in there, don't get panicky.

I've always read it could take 60-90 days....and sometimes longer depending on how backed up the courts are and what creditors protest about.My BK Status:

You are supposed to recieve your discharge 60 days from the date of your 341 meeting, and it hasn't been 60 days. However, it may take a little longer depending on case load.Comment
