I am new to the forum and I had a question.....I just recently had my 341 meeting on April 17th and I was surprised at how smooth it went. I was nervous the whole morning. I thought that several creditors were going to show up but none did. The trustee asked several questions and ended with I wish you good luck. Here is the question... My attorney met me outside of the tustees office and said everything went well and I should be receiving a discharge in 60 days. How would I know if any creditor has objected to the discharge? Please advise. Thanks

This answer is somewhere in the forum. Couldn't remember where, so I'll give you a quick response. First off, your attorney will probably mention something about a possible objection if there are grounds for such.
If a creditor objects to the dischargeability of a debt, you will receive notice of such objection. Mostly, the creditor will object to discharge of the debt you incurred them (and only them) if you racked up debt with them (for luxury purchases) and then filed shortly after. If this happens, the debtor may have to repay the amount of debt he/she incurred or the creditor may seize the item(s) if the creditor "wins".
If you didn't use credit or loans for luxury purchases, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Just kick back and relax and let your case run it's course.Bankruptcy History:
