    I have 2 questions???

My dh and I filed for bankruptcy in 2003 we were discharged in April of 2004. I actually came here today to find out what is a good credit card to apply for. I was reading about checking your credit reports ect... We never did any of that. So I was wondering exactly what that entails. Then my second question about the credit card? We have only taken out one small loan to pay for a fence put up in our yard. We will have that taken care of in a few months. We bought a car out right so no car loans and we kept our house and have been up to date. Anyway we are going to Florida in Oct and it makes me nervous to go all that way with no back up. I will not use it unless I have to but would like to know who is good. I have offers for capital one and providan right now. I threw out all the high annual fee ones ect... Capital One looks the best but I am afraid I will be turned down and I don't want it hurting my credit. Any suggestions?

If you have kept up with your house payment, your credit score probably isn't that bad. I have read a few posts about people getting Capitol One cards about a year out of bankruptcy. Try looking in the rebuilding credit forum.
