    Need Your Help

I have scheduled an appointment with an attorney. I can' believe that they are doubling monthly payments, I got two yesterday for $400/month. No way, I'm really screwed now. Should I stop paying for credit card bills and start saving that money? We are definitely filing Chapter 7. Thanks, TDP

Absolutely stop paying and save your money - you will need it for your lawyer. Consult one asap.

If you are certain you will file BK, stop paying your credit cards, you are throwing good money after bad.

Should I open a new checking account or keep cash at home? Pay with Money Orders?

Personally I would deal in cash (get receipt) and money orders till after discharge.
Now is the opportunity for you to put some cash back.

Stop them right now I would say [that is what I jsut decided to do].

Getting to the point of acknowledging that I need to file BK was hard for me and I have been banging my head against the payment wall for several months.

After deciding to file I stopped payment on two of my next big expenses which totaled about $700.00. No, I am not going on a party spree......but that $700 will go a long way to helping take care of other stuff that has gotten behind like the elec bill, phone bill etc etc.

No point in giving more $ out when it won't do you any good is what I decided.

                  Second Account

If I have a seperate business account that is Incorporated, is it subject to my personal bankruptcy? If so, should I withdraw the funds out of it as well and hold onto until after the discharge. It is a small business that does not produce any income at all after paying all the bills.
