OK, I got another stupid question.....

If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

I'm a newbie here, but i'm pretty sure the answer is to amend your filing. Amending it does the opposite of what you think--it shows honesty! It shows a determination to correct the record, regardless of the cause of the initial "incomplete" information.

We're not perfect in record keeping and memory, etc., so the law allows for situations just like this. That's what amending is for.

I would not close my eyes and hope they don't find out ... plus you are in fact misleading the court now that you know this information should have been included.

You're thinking a bit too much non-legally. Sure, if I leave out some personal and relationship information that my girlfriend wanted, she will be mad and suspicious when I later share that information.

But the law and legal and financial stuff isn't like that. Businesses amend documents and records all the time. People amend tax returns all the time.
