Pacer shows the date the courts use for "Objection to discharge" but how do they determine what the "discharge" date is? My "objection to discharge" date was 7/12 and am not sure if there could still be objections or dismissal, because the courts have not mailed out anything or called, based on how tied up the courts are now will cases.

Supposedly they stick to the probable discharge date that was listed on the notice you received from the court about your 341. We filed in March, our 341 was May 2 and our discharge date was supposed to be 7/1. Initially we were told it is 60 days from the 341 but the courts are covered up so they are being delayed sometimes as long as a month later depending on where you live.

We have heard something but not what we wanted to hear...namely, that our BK was discharged. Instead we have to provide the U.S. Trustee with more paperwork because she was granted a motion to extend the time. We did not submit all the paperwork initially because we didnt have it but we did have the expenses highlighted on our bank statement. Apparently they want the real thing so we have to resubmit paperwork by 7/29 and meet with the trustee on August 3 face to face. I relish the opportunity to go face to face with her. We have a very compelling story about how we got where we are and what we did to try and pay our medical bills and still exist. Anyway we have yet another day in court but this one for sure will be our last one way or the other. Good luck..Also, we have an appt with our lawyer on Thursday. He doesnt seem very nervous about this..naturally it isnt happening to him. The trustee sent him a very nice letter. We got the generic legal document. I know they are not looking for assets because we dont have any. I think they are concentrating on our so called disposable income.
