What happens to paychecks during BK?

We have paid our final payment to our lawyer to file ch 7 and are waiting for our stimulus payment to come in to file. We were told by our laywer that some of the local trustees WERE in fact taking the stimulus money

    My questions are:
What happens to paychecks during chapter 7s, are they taken from us or do we just cash them as normal?

What happens to any bonuses we may get after filing? Are they taken? (hubby often gets a monthly bonus for hitting sales goals) I'm also worried that if everything is not discharged by Dec 1st, that they will take his entire Christmas bonus.

    Yikes, anyone know about this?

    Thanks much!

Your paychecks can be cashed as normal. However, any bonuses I would hang onto until after your 341 or in some cases your discharge in case the trustee wants them. Once you are discharged (usually 60 days) after your 341 hearing you can earn bonuses as you like. At that point the trustee would have told you if you had to give any future bonus to them (Unlikely).
