    Discharge timeframe

I had some very good news in the mail yesterday (18th). I received my discharge paper in the mail and was surprised by how short it was. I was expecting a packet of paperwork and it turned out to be just one page front and back. My objection date was July 1, and after reading other post, I was expecting it to take longer. Checked pacer on the 15th and found out it had been discharged on the 14th. Just wanted to let everyone know that in some areas, mine is Northern district of GA, it is going faster than others.

Your discharge papers will come soon!

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but I've been visiting for a few weeks now when I stumbled upon this site. I had no idea it existed. You all have been a great help to me (and others, I'm sure) over the past few weeks. I reside in northern Virginia and my 341 meeting was 5/3. My deadline date for objection was 7/5 and it was after that date that I started to get anxious. Thanks to you all, I discovered what pacer was all about and began checking everyday! Exactly one week later my case was up for discharge and two days later the status changed from pending to case closed. That same day (7/18), I too received my simple but oh so important discharge paper! My advice: give pacer a break for a day or too--especially after it says awaiting discharge/pending. It tends to cause more worry than comfort--not to mention money. Your sense of financial freedom will come soon for you and then you'll be a source of reassurance for someone else. Thanks again and I look forward to learning and tackling this journey of rebuilding my credit and cleaning up my report in the months to come. Take care and God Bless.
