Is $1k for a BK good or bad?

Talked to a BK lawyer for quite a while today on the phone. Surprised how much time she gave me before even asking my name. Seemed very insightful, friendly, and knew how the trustee works and what he looks for.

Her total fee is $1k to file and handle one reaffirmation (car). She'll be at the 341 meeting, etc.

This a good deal?

My attorneys fees were $1200. I have been very pleased with everyone that I have dealt with at the firm. I had tons and tons of information (medical bills, etc) that need to be entered into the computer system, and they didn't even complain when the computer overloaded. I felt bad, but they were like no problem!!!

Yeah, that is about an average fee, if you like the attorney and feel comfortable with them (which is very important and worth any price), go ahead.

Question, does the $1k include the filing fee or not (the filing fee for a chapter 7, which is charged by the BK court, is $209). Even if it does not include the filing fee, its still a reasonable rate.
