Tax returns after filing chapter 7?

Hello im new to this forum. first question actually and the only one that i haven't found an answer for.

Will i still receive a tax return the following year after claiming BP?

Not that it makes a difference i am a full time student and my tax returns help quite a bit.

Filing for FAFSA and School loans after chapter 7?

Wondering if anyone has had any problem continuing to file for FAFSA or any type of school loan after filing BP?

I have been approved the last year and a half and it would kill me if i got denied after filing BP.

Any input would be great!

By tax return, I assume you mean tax "refund" correct? (Tax Return is the form you file with the IRS, i.e. Form 1040).

Assuming the trustees in your state go after tax refunds, they can only get 1 years refund, usually the year your file.

And no, BK does not affect your ability to get government guaranteed school loans.
