I have filed Ch. 7 this week. I have a bank Visa card in my BK from the same bank as my checking/savings accounts. I have August rent money sitting in my savings account as of yesterday. Is this money safe, or should I withdraw the funds? The Visa payment was due today 7/20. The bank is BOA.

typically, a Bank and its credit cards are different entities, and they generally don't have the right to debit you checking or savings account to pay off a balance, and would be prevented from doing so by the Bankruptcy Automatic Stay. So, yes, your money is safe.Comment
