IMO, it's time to do what makes financial sense. It's money down a rathole to pay debts that will eventually be discharged. Put the credit score on the backburner.
Why the concern over credit? You can't handle the credit you have now. No need to be on the hunt for new credit when you haven't even filed.
Your best course of action is to get used to living on a cash basis and living on a budget. You'll get plenty of offers for new credit once your bk is discharged. Plenty of time to rebuild.

If you live in a community property state then the debt is jointly owned by both of you, even if your names are not on the cards. Thus I'm not sure it would help to continue for one of you to pay.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
