Finally filed.. It feels so GOOD!

Finally...after having signed the papers once on April 23rd only to have to re-sign again on May 23rd because we wanted to wait for the stimulus.

The attorneys office never called to tell us we were official filed but thanks to this site and the excellent step by step guide to using Pacer, we officially have a BK number.

Hubby is sitting here by the phone because he is so relieved to finally be able to answer it and hopefully make them go away!!!
Its been 4 months since we answered the phone. So far only 6 phone calls. But he said just being able to relieve ourselves of 6 feels so good.

So now we just wait for a date to be set for the 341 as Pacer does not show a date yet.

Everyone said that the sense of relief after filing was immense but I have to tell you that this is even more. This feels like a whole new life. I am not nervous at all about the 341 because I know we did everything by the book.(thanks to this site)

For all those still in the early stages of this whole process. It really is true.. the day you file is really the begining of your new life!

Now off to a Tball game with the worlds most wonderful 6 years old!

What a wonderful feeling it is. I know after I filed, I felt like a ton(heavy nasty cc collecting ton) off my shoulders. No more phone calls......

Congrats momof5! It really is a great feeling, but it'll be even better once you're discharged and closed. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. We're still crossing our fingers over our stimulus check, I guess the lawyers are fighting with the local trustee over it.

Congrats to you. I am so jealous..... why are some 341's so fast and other districts are two months until the 341. Our 341 is Monday but we filed on 4/08. Your distrist is so fast. I would have loved to have that over with already. I was looking at cases from 1991 and they were still 2 months til the 341. So its must just be we have a always busy district. Anyways enjoy that quiet phone. I love coming home from work and having just my mom on the caller ID. So excellent not to have 10 creditors listed in there whos calls you missed. That is a very good feeling. Enjoy.
