Should I Stop Paying on my Cards

We are planning on filing, not exactly sure when but I was wondering when a good time to stop paying the cards in relation to the time of filing. We just don't have the money anymore to even make the min payment.

Stop paying debt you wish to discharge the moment you decide to file for bk. When you actually file isn't important. You're just throwing money down a rathole.

I stopped in Feb, filing in July. So ya, stop it right away. That's what my attorney recommended.

I stopped paying in February, and filed today.

I think you should stop now, because you aren't able to even make min now. You need to use that money for your basic needs.

I have too. Just make sure to cancel any auto debits you had for bills. I forgot about a couple and they overdrew my account.
