    I had my 341 yesterday!

The meeting was very quick & seemed to be easy. I was very overstressed before the meeting & for no reason. I did have one creditor show up. She was from the credit union where i had included 1 vehicle & 1 line of credit in the discharge. The only question she had for me was on the vehicle we decided to reaffirm. She asked how many miles on the vehicle & what is the name of the insurance company. That was it. Does anyone know how long it takes for pacer to be updated after the 341? I had another question, why would the trustee ask me if i had received notification from dept of revenue?

salms50, do you owe any back tax? I do and was on a payment plan. I got a letter from IRS to stop paying on it until the bankruptcy was determined. So that is what we know about it. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

I have never owed any taxes. I always get a refund. Does this mean my taxes were filed wrong? I hope i am not being audited. I did have to pay in $50 to WI dept of revenue this year but i paid them in March & check cleared. Do you know how long until pacer is updated? Or how long until i am notified if i need anything else? I am still nervous.

I think pacer is updated every day after 6 pm or so I've read here. I had my 341 today and cannot believe what a joke it was.. maybe 20 yes or no questions and 2 that required a full sentence. If all went well at the 341 and there was no presumed abuse going into it, am I led to believe all is well??
        Filed ch7 on 5/1
        341 went smooth on 6/10
        8/12 Order discharging debtor
        8/26/2008 CASE CLOSED!!!

To you it might have been a joke, but to others it might not be. Just be thankful yours was easy.

Cali are you following me? LOLOL

Question on the 341, ours was Feb 7. We ended up with asset case so it goes to 90 days, other than I had a 2004 interview about a mortgage note I sold, and I have an AP, the 12th would be 90th day. What should I see if I get my discharge????? Please? 'Hub

I wasn't trivializing it at all I know some people have tough ones but I built it up to be a huge deal and mine was very quick, maybe 8 minutes tops, it's sad that some people get harassed at their 341 and others breeze..

what should i watch for on pacer after the 341? It shows meeting held. Is the next thing just waiting until no creditors object? Or what?

                          Congrats Salms

As someone above said only check it once a day no need to run up your bill. Check it after 6pm (or the next morning).

If it shows your meeting was held.

Most likely the next thing will be Trustees note, generally assigning it as no asset or asset as appropriate.

Although unlikely yes it creditor objections may show up here.

Also if you are surrendering any property it is likely you'll see a motion of relief from stay so that they can come get it.

Discharge in about 60 days depending on local conditions with a close shortly thereafter if all goes well assuming no asset (asset cases take a bit longer)

He may have been interested in your stimulus check or any income tax return if you hadn't received them yet.

                            Thank you all for responses.

Pacer does show no asset case.

In the mean time, if no creditor objections, is the case still being looked in to? Or is that part over? I am just a paranoid person and i want this over with already! I am worried about having to bring in bank statements. I made the mistake of closing my credit union checking account and not reopening one until just now. We have just used cash and money orders. I would guess that looks suspicious if i cannot come up with bank statements huh?

The trustee never asked about stimulus rebate or tax refund either. I already had both & spent both.

I'm not sure what they do in that case. However I'm sure its happened before. If your case is pretty cut and dry might not be an issue.
