Well, glad to see that you made it through ok. You still get to keep you house and get a fresh start, which is excellent.
Sort of off topic a bit, but with regards to your stimulus, did you have to include that as income on your means test originally (or did it figure into any of your means test calculations)?Filed Ch 7 - 07/10/08

Thanks! I read the last post about your saga also... I hope your lawyer gets back from her vacation and gets her act together. I think there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes and that trustees are more likely to be reasonable and fair to you when they see you've had horrible representation. Fingers crossed for you and 'Hub as well!Originally posted by AngelinaCat View PostDear Help!:
That is AWESOME News!!!

'Hub and I hope that all works out for you in the end. Something similar to your situation appears to be occurring in our case. Will keep everyone posted.
Love to you~~~

P.S If you were in CA, I'd gladly come give you a ride anywhere you needed to goOriginally posted by Help! View PostThanks! The additional assets we're surrendering are two cars we owned outright (bought with 401K money based on attorney's advice... grrr), the money in our checking account and our economic stimulus check. We offered what we have in our house, but the Trustee decided not to take anything more. We are really lucky (or unlucky, depending how you view our situation).

Actually, we're giving back the house. We relocated out of state and it's been for sale for about 9 months (dropped the price $70K and still no interest). Anyway, we did not include it as income on the means test since it would be a future source of income. The UST didn't add it in anywhere, either. If I were filing today I wouldn't include it as income on schedule J but I'd note it there just to be up front.Originally posted by laurannm View PostWell, glad to see that you made it through ok.
