Surrendering van tomorrow ?? for anyone who has been there done that

So tomorrow is the day !! I actually can't wait to get rid of it !! I called and spoke with the general manager and he said just come in and see either him or his assistant and that's it....So anyone who has done already this, is that really it ??

Also per my attorney I typed up a receipt for them to sign just saying I am surrendering the van vin #..... on this date. So is that really all there is to it?

Basically that is it. I suggest, you take pictures of the machine, inside and out. Have the person do a walk around (insist) and have him state "no signs of damage" or if there is, what it is. Ask him also to put on your document, "willfully surrendered" or the likes. They will wholesale it and you will get a reciept with your deficiency. That is normal. 'Hub

Well it's all done I actually feel a little sad because I don't have my own car right now. I'm still looking for a replacement but it feels pretty good not having that monthly debt hanging over my head !! It was pretty easy the manager was very nice and he commented how they are seeing so many surrenders due to BK.

OH, I want to do this!!! My car I'm letting go is just sitting in my driveway. My brother is going to borrow it next week for a couple days. Once that's over I'm going to do the same. It's just taking up space. Work bought me a new 08 Honda Civic. I still have to keep insurance on the car I'm letting go, which raises my insurance $50/month. I want that money for my bank acct.!!!!!!!
