My husband spoke to Mortgage company after we received a copy of their request for lift of Stay.
They said that once we move out, we can call them and send them the keys. They will then have the locks changed. My husband asked about the utilities and insurance. They said we do not have to keep any of those. They will take care of the utilities and we don't have to keep it insured once we give them the keys.
Is this typical, especially considerin our name is on still on the title??
I was hoping to do a deed in lieu, but since we have a 2nd with a different lender, they said they have to do a foreclosure to remove the 2nd's lien.
I was a little disappointed by that. I REALLY didn't want the foreclosure to happen, since that is listed in the paper and I am a teacher in the city I live. Oh well, that is a whole seperate post
