    collection agency dunning for bill

    in april 2006 filed chapter 13, then in june 2008 coverted to chapter 7, have received a phone call and letter from FBCS inc, a collection agency, showing their client as valorem llc re the MBNA credit card balance; first phone call coupeel weeks i advised of the bankruptcy, 2 weeks later a collection effort by FBCS, is this legal

    May 2008 Hired 1st Attorney/Stopped paying CCs
    May 21, 2009 Retained 2nd Attorney
    May 28th - Filed for Ch 7 (FINALLY!)
    9/11/09 - DISCHARGED!!!!

      the original creditor, mbna was included in the bankruptcy

        If you can get your attorney to print an automatic stay(their software can do it in a jiffy) or have them print the case information with the court seal from PACER, I would then email, fax or mail them a copy, and then keep a copy of the letter you sent. IF they continue to harass, then it is FDCPA violation time, and your attorney can potentially sue them and you get $1000. cha-ching!(not that simple but I summarize for this post).
