Paying for my recent tank of propane

Hi,

In April I got my tank filled...should last me thru october. I usually pay them a couple months after delivery and they don't complain too much.

Well, I owe them 680.00.

If I pay them prior to filing, is that a utility payment, or a preferential payment to a creditor?

You can include utilites in your BK. If you know of another local propane place then this would be probably be your best bet as far as getting a fresh start. If you still owe $680 and then this October have to come up with more money. Not sure how big your town is or if this is possible but just a suggestion.
