A pre 341 meating?

HI all,

I recently filled for chapter 7 and received a notice in the mail from the trustee. He is requiring a telephone conference mid August and a 341 meeting a week later. My wife and I filed above the medium income(about $4,000), passed the means test without fudging the numbers any, and the only non exempt asset is $1,300 equity in our vehicle. Do we have anything to worry about? Has anyone else run into the same tele-conference situation? I just find it odd since I have not heard of anyone here write about it.

Hi Olly7011: We had one also. It was held a week before our 'in person' 341. You don't have anything to worry about. This is like a dress rehearsal. You will be asked pretty much the same questions that will be asked during the 'real' 341. This is an opportunity to catch some glitches ahead of time. For instance, it was at our teleconference that we learned that we had to carry a copy of our marriage license with us in addition to our DLs and SS cards. My husband and I don't use the same surname, so that is why the marriage license.
