    Notice of Appearance

Just saw on Pacer that DCFS Trust (aka Chrysler) filed a Notice of Appearance on our case. We have a leased vehicle with Chrysler and are planning on assuming the lease. Is this pretty normal for this to get filed? I thought I had read that this usually gets filed when you are surrendering a house and/or car

    Thanks
    Filed Ch 7 - 07/10/08
    341 Meeting - 08/13/08
    DISCHARGED! - 10/15/08
    CLOSED - 10/20/08

You have a locked in lease and are holding the car. It is just a notice to Court that they wish to be included in the event you default. This I wouldn't worry about, but for confidence ask your lawyer. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

Grammy, it is just like if you were pro se, then later introduce a lawyer, the lawyer would make a legal notice to the Court that he now represents you and to talk only to him. The creditor is only notifying the Court they have a claim. It may have been left off the paper work. I have two cards a Lowes and a Radio Shack I failed to list. They are now closed and no notice given due to they are a child company of a bigger bank, GE I believe in which I had a claim. 'Hub

Where on PACER did you check to see that? I am pretty new there and I am afraid of clicking pages.

I don’t have PACER in front of me, but go to the History/Documents place (don’t quote my memory) Every entry is numbered. There is also a run down of what is there. I would advise just once, go through ALL categories once. The items in links open, save as; your number and name as they will all be named the same thing so you wish to be able to decipher your documents. This way, you can go back and print or relook without charge as the image is on your own computer. Check History and if the bottom number changes, then something was added. I won’t cost you five bucks to do this. Hope this helps. ‘Hub
