I am in a similar situation. The landlord filed dispossessory warrant on July 14, I didn't file my petition until July 20. The sheriff was a little slow with getting the papers to me, but I got them last Friday, July 29. Normally, you have 7 days from receiving the warrant to file an answer, or on the 8th day you are evicted. Yesterday, on day 4, I went down to the courthouse to present my bankruptcy paperwork. Without the bankruptcy, I would have received a court date for next week. But with the bankruptcy and the automatic stay, I received no court day. Eviction pending until further notice.
